Weill Cornell Bone Marrow Transplant Program

Meet Our Patients

For many of our cancer patients, undergoing a transplant has transformed their lives in a positive way. Our team of physicians and specialists provide our patients with an individualized treatment approach since no two patients are alike. We pride ourselves in gaining deep relationships with our patients, as well as making sure patients and loved ones are fully educated and comfortable throughout the entire transplant process.

“I love the entire staff and especially Dr. van Besien. He was one of the doctors that was willing to take a chance and because of him, I am still here today. He is a total package. He cares about every single one of his patients. He wants the best outcome for all of us.”

“I can’t say enough positive things about my entire Weill Cornell experience – from the physicians at the Myeloma Center and the entire staff who have been wonderful. They care about every patient and I feel like I’m getting the best care possible. In the hospital, the care was also amazing and the nurses helped me get through the process.”

I decided to get a tattoo with their names on it as a way of thanking them for what they’ve done. They’re part of the family. It’s an amazing hospital and everyone has a wonderful attitude.”
